I know it's 1.3 OHM, but outside of that im lost haha. And I MAYBE had one pop off and cannot find the tiny thing anywhere. Any tips on replacement? Cheers!

I'v done this a few time's today with the thermal paste. Before i did the thermal paste the xbox one was working and now it won't even stay on for 10 seconds. Can anyone help please

I didnt know an rgb led would work without a controller board, looks good. I put a blue led in a nes that i had rebuilt the case for, it was smashed up. After doing bodywork on the case i painted it white and light blue, so it needed a blue led to go with it lol.

I put a slow flash RGB LED in one of my NESs. I also did a blue LED in another one.

no one seems to be able to solve the random resetting issues i have. power light stays on but will randomly go back to bootup. no broken pieces, reset button not stuck.

yeah, I had to sand the one i got down quite a bit. it didn't have the issue with sliding into the slot but it stood too tall and made it so the lid wouldn't fit back on comfortably

To get an accurate reading, you should remove the cap from the board. However, testing while in circuits gives false readings. That cap is probably perfectly fine.

7:30 i think you just destroyed the controller . the alcohol on the black connective pads is not good. it erodes the carbon on there. its gonna take a lot of pressure now to press the buttons... dont use rubbing alcohol on the black parts. just lightly brush it or something.

My n64 works fine but when I turn off the system and swap games the video doesn’t show. The power light is on. If I unplug from the wall then plug back in it works. What can that be?

My go to for dirt cleaning is a toothbrush, way easier than a cotton swab on those grates. And a little water moist. If you need to do thorough cleaning, iso-propanol is the only safe liquid. Apart from cleaning, I found some carts to have thinner boards, and those are a real pain in the ass. Any solution for those? Solder everything on a replacement board?

I mostly work with old electronics and this is my go to. Simple green, paint brush, hot water. After washing rinse it with denatured alcohol to displace the water and hit it with compressed air and let it dry for a few hours. If the circuit board is the super old Phenolic type then spray some WD40 onto a rag and wipe it down. As long as you don't saturate it in WD40 it's fine.

That one of the problems with aftermarket parts is not being exactly like the original every time but I used to buy aftermarket jumper packs which about 2 or 3 out of 10 that I have problems with them.

@2:34 is exactly what my issue is currently with a console I got off facebook market place for 30 bucks.. i took it to ubreakIfix and they didn’t know what to exactly do with it.. geeksquad wouldn’t touch it either.. my local retro stores didn’t have a person to work on it either

Man, that was gross...🤢Good video, but... now i have the urge to get up and wash my hands.😅 I did a restoration of a 20xx PS3 Slim 2 or 3 months ago which i bought from a smoker and it was in similar state (greasy brownish dust balls all over the place and even inside the PSU). Iirc, there had to be even some liquid spilled all over the place (the metal housing and drive were partially corroded). BTW, i'm a smoker myself, but don't smoke indoors or in vicinity of other people. I really despise those selfish f*cks who do.

Just use a magic eraser sponge soaked with IPA for the connectors.
